Lance James must return the bond of $580.00 to [The tenant/s] immediately.

Both parties attended the hearing which was held by telephone. [Tenant 1] and [Tenant 2] for the tenants. Mr James, the landlord.
The tenant has applied for refund of the remaining amount of bond for this tenancy being $580.00.
The landlord has a claim against the bond, but has not filed a counterclaim with Tenancy Services. The landlord was not able to confirm if the disputed amount is with Tenancy Services.
The landlord has deducted $580.00 from the bond of $5500.00. The landlord says it was a charge for the use of 2 extra men to help the tenants move from their property on 7 March 2023. The tenants had to move quickly as there was a roof leak and the house became uninhabitable requiring extensive repairs.
There was no agreement between the landlord or tenants about the tenants incurring any costs for the use of any extra men to help them move, prior to the move.
