An application for suppression has been made in this case, and the Tribunal orders suppression of the tenant and landlord’s name and identifying details.
[The landlord/s] must pay [The tenant/s] $6,000.00 on or by Tuesday 23 January 2024.

Reasons

Both parties attended the hearing. The landlord was represented by her agents. The tenant had a support person.
A dispute has arisen between the tenant and the landlord.
The tenancy has now ended but there is a dispute bought by the tenant before the Tribunal.
The landlord also indicated she had potential claims but there is no application presently filed by the landlord.
At the hearing today both parties agreed to settle all disputes between them in connection with the tenancy.
The parties are aware that this is in full and final settlement of all claims between the parties in connection with the tenancy whether before the Tribunal or not presently subject to an application.
To settle all of the disputes between the parties arising out of this tenancy the landlord agrees to pay the tenant the sum of $6,000. This is to be paid on or by Tuesday 23 January 2024. This date was agreed by the parties.
Both parties seek name suppression. Neither party opposed the other party having name suppression. Given the parties have agreed to settle the dispute effectively via mediated resolution I award both parties name suppression (s 95A, Residential Tenancies Act 1986).
Again the parties confirm on the basis of the above agreement they withdraw / will not pursue all claims against one another and acknowledge that they will not be able to pursue any further grievance in relation to the tenancy.
I commend the parties in the approach taken and settling the dispute in a sensible way.
