In settlement of all outstanding claims between the parties, the Bond Centre is to pay the bond of $2,300.00 immediately apportioned as follows: [The landlord/s]: $1,671.79 [The tenant/s]: $628.21

Reasons

Both parties attended the hearing.
The tenant was represented at the hearing by a representative of the [tenant’s union].
The landlord was represented by professional property managers.
To settle the parties’ claims against each other, the parties came to the following agreement at the conclusion of the hearing: a. The landlord is owed $3,171.79 in rent arrears. b. The landlord agreed to pay the tenant $1,500.00 in compensation for issues during the tenancy which impacted on the tenant’s enjoyment of the property. c. The landlord is therefore owed $1,671.79 by the tenant, being outstanding rent of $3,171.79 less $1,500.00 in compensation. d. The landlord will be paid the amount due by the tenant from the bond and the balance of the bond of $628.21 will be paid to the tenant.
As both parties have had success as a result of the hearing, it is not appropriate to make any order for reimbursement of the filing fees.
As the parties have come to this agreement by consent, it is appropriate that all details of the parties’ names and details be suppressed.
