The Tribunal declares that that the tenancy of [the tenant] at [Tenancy address suppressed] ended on 17 February 2024.
[The tenant] must pay [the landlord] $1,714.29 immediately for rent arrears to 17 February 2024.

Reasons

The tenant and the property manager attended the hearing which was conducted by telephone.
The landlord has applied for rent arrears.
The tenancy was for a fixed term. However, the tenant gave notice withdrawing from the tenancy pursuant to s 56B(2) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, which deals with ending tenancies in circumstances where the tenant is the victim of family violence. 1 This order amends the Tribunal’s order dated 1 March 2024, which incorrectly calculated the arrears based on a weekly rental of $4,500.00 per week when the weekly rental was $6,000.00.
I have viewed the withdrawal notice which is in order.
I find that the tenant’s notice ended the tenancy on 17 February 2024.
The landlord provided a rent summary setting out the arrears. The arrears of two days’ rent are proven as ordered above.
The Tribunal must, in any proceedings that relate to withdrawal from a tenancy under s 56B order that the name and any identifying particulars of the parties not be published. The Tribunal so orders.
