Order
[The tenant/s] must pay [The landlord/s] $0.00 immediately as set out below.
Reasons
- Only the landlord representative attended the hearing. The tenant did not join the video link and did not answer his phone.
- The landlord has applied for rent arrears and outstanding water rates and has provided rent records and water invoices which prove the amount owing.
- It is pleasing that the rent is all but up to date, the outstanding water rates have however increased since the application was made and the tenant should take urgent steps to rectify that.
- The property manager said paying an additional amount each week until the water is paid would be an ideal solution. If the tenant does not contact the property manager and arrange this then further applications to the Tribunal; potentially including a request for termination because of the breach, may be the next step
- Because [The applicant/s] has wholly succeeded with the claim I must reimburse the filing fee.
- The applicant requested name suppression for the landlord and tenant, by a fine margin the tenant’s name is supressed. Further Tribunal applications may not have that outcome.
