DescriptionTenant Compensation: Rent reimbursement$40,632.00 Filing fee$20.44 Total award$40,652.44 Total payable by Landlord to Chief Executive$40,652.44
Reasons
- On 28 April 2025, the Tribunal issued an order that required the landlord to pay various amounts to the landlord. The order included the following: Mr James Oai Truong (Oai Phuoc Truong) must pay [The tenant/s] tenant/s] of the [The tenant/s] tenant/s], [The tenant/s] tenant/s] and [The tenant/s] tenant/s] an amount to the sum of 40% of the rental for the premises paid by the tenants, during which the boarding house operated with 6 or more tenants. If the parties cannot agree on that amount, [The tenant/s] tenant/s] may seek an updated order from the Tribunal.
- That order was made because I did not have sufficient information available in order to calculate what the sum of the 40% reimbursement would be.
- The parties have subsequently worked together, and agreed that the figure of the 40% reimbursement is $40,652.44.
- The parties also agree that the landlord should pay the filing fee, which is $20.44.
- That therefore concludes this matter.
- Finally, I think the parties for working together to agree on the above amounts.
