Reasons
- Only the landlord attended the teleconference hearing. The tenants were phoned twice at the time of the hearing but calls went to voicemail on each call.
- The landlord initially applied for termination of the tenancy for significant rent arrears, unpaid water rates and the filing fee. Since the application the tenants have arranged payment of the arrears and water bills. A payment of rent that was due on 21 January has not been made and the arrears are now $476.67. The tenants have avoided termination of their tenancy today but must sort out regular rent payments to avoid further Tribunal applications.
