An application for suppression has been made in this case, and the Tribunal orders suppression of the Tenant and Landlord names and identifying details.

Reasons

Both parties attended the hearing.
On 12 June 2025, the Tribunal granted possession to the landlord effective 21 June 2025, rent arrears of $1,249.29, water rates of $137.89, and filing fee of $27.00.
On 14 July 2025, the landlord applied for a rehearing (out of time) on the grounds that he would like the tenant to have name suppression as he does not want her to be adversely affected by these proceedings. The landlord also now wishes to withdraw the original claim.
I find it just to accept this application for rehearing out of time
After considering the tenant’s personal circumstances, I am satisfied that a miscarriage of justice may have occurred, and a rehearing is granted. See section 105 Residential Tenancies Act 1986.
It is appropriate that the original claim is now withdrawn.
I have instructed Tenancy Services to remove the original order from publication. Both parties’ names and identifying details have been suppressed from this order as requested.
