- An application for suppression has been made in this case, and the Tribunal orders suppression of the names and identifying details of both parties.
- [The landlord] must pay [the tenant] $1,710.00 immediately.
Reasons
- An amended order was issued on 30 October 2025. It contained a calculation error. The landlord was ordered to pay the tenant $905.50 from the bond of $1,710, the bond being split between the parties.
- In fact, because the $905.50 was in favour of the tenant, it was in addition to the bond and she had sought reimbursement of the bond. Therefore the calculation in the table was incorrect.
- The tenant is entitled to a full refund of the bond, and the landlord must pay her $905.50 on top of that.
- The bond has been released. The tenant has received $905.50 from the bond and so the landlord must now pay her $1,710.00, being the $804.50 that he has incorrectly received from the Bond Centre, plus the $905.50 that he has been ordered to pay. 1 This order amends the calculation and therefore the amount the landlord must pay the tenant.
