- By consent, [The tenant/s] and [The tenant/s] must pay Kaso Property Management Limited As Agent For Sabbir Samdani Islam the arrears and the filing fee by the dates below: a. A lump sum payment of $1,500 to clear the two weeks’ rent arrears by tonight (17 September 2025). b. A lump sum payment of $781.76 to clear the water arrears (accrued between April and August 2025) no later than 1 October 2025. c. A lump sum payment of $28.00 to reimburse the landlord’s filing fee no later than 1 October 2025.
Reasons
- Mr. Pulumati, the property manager, attended the hearing.
- Mrs. Afu attended the hearing. She explained that her husband, Mr. Afu, had worked a night shift and was asleep at the time. She also mentioned that her husband might have difficulty communicating with me because he speaks Tongan. In any case, Mrs. Afu stated that she could speak on his behalf. Since both Mr. and Mrs. Afu are the named tenants, and Mrs. Afu has been Mr. Pulumati’s main contact person, I decided to proceed with the hearing in Mr. Afu’s absence.
- The hearing was conducted via teleconference.
- Mr. Pulumati said that he is not seeking termination. He only wants confirmation of when the arrears will be paid.
- By consent, Mrs. Afu stated that the following payments would be made: a. A lump sum payment of $1,500 to clear the two weeks’ rent arrears by tonight (17 September 2025). b. A lump sum payment of $781.76 to clear the water arrears (accrued between April and August 2025) no later than 1 October 2025. Filing fee
- Because Kaso Property Management Limited As Agent For Sabbir Samdani Islam has wholly succeeded with the application I must reimburse the filing fee.
