- [The tenant/s] must pay Auckland Property Management Limited As Agent For I-Chun Yeh $1,380.00 by 5 pm Friday 17 October 2025, being rent arrears to Thursday 9 October 2025.
- The tenant will pay the landlord $1,084.28 by 5 pm Tuesday 14 October 2025 being: a. Four days’ rent of $394.28 for the period from 10 October 2025 to 13 October 2025 b. A week’s rent of $690.00 for the period from 14 October 2025 to 20 October 2025.
Reasons
- Both parties attended the hearing by telephone.
- The landlord has applied for rent arrears and has provided rent records which prove the amount owing.
- The tenant explained that she had inadvertently not completed all of the necessary paperwork with MSD so that her rent was not paid for two weeks. She now has a second job and advised that she would be able to clear the two weeks’ arrears by next Friday 17 October 2025.
- The tenant confirmed that payments from MSD were now being made regularly every Tuesday.
- At present, the rent is due on a Friday. For payments to fall due on a Tuesday, the tenant will need to pay a further four days’ rent to catch up. The tenant agreed to do this.
- Because Auckland Property Management Limited As Agent For I-Chun Yeh has wholly succeeded with the claim I must reimburse the filing fee.
