Order
- The Tribunal orders suppression of the Tenant name and identifying details.
- The application is dismissed.
Reasons
- The applicant did not attend the telephone hearing at the scheduled time, request an adjournment, or notify the Tribunal the matter has settled. See sections 78(1)(i) and 92(1) Residential Tenancies Act 1986. The Tribunal’s calls to the applicant went unanswered. Tenancy Services sent the applicant a message advising that the calls went unanswered and seeking a correct telephone number. No reply was received during the scheduled heraing time.
- The other party did not attend the hearing by failing to answer the Tribunal call.
- The applicant’s claim is dismissed. In the circumstances, it is appropriate to suppress the other party’s name and identifying details. K Stirling, 26 January 2026
