- The landlord applied for compensation for cleaning and damages following the end of the tenancy.
- The tenant disputed the claims stating that the premises was not clean to begin with and that items requiring repairs were already provided to the tenant in that state.
- The entry inspection report dated 9 June 2021 noted that some areas of the premises was not clean and there were areas needing repairs and maintenance.
- Having compared the entry inspection report with the exit inspection report and other photos provided by the landlord, I do not find that the landlord has proven that the tenant has caused any damages or that the premises was not left reasonably clean and tidy considering the original state of the premises and the chattels.
- Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
