Reasons
- Today, both parties attended the hearing, which was conducted by phone.
- On 14 November 2025 the landlord applied for an order for payment of rent arrears of $220, owing from the end of the tenancy on 12 July 2025.
- On 17 December 2025, the tenant paid the arrears. He had been unable to pay sooner because he did not have a job.
- The landlord also sought reimbursement of the filing fee of $28.00.
- Although the rent arrears have now been paid, the application would not have been required if the tenant had paid the rent arrears at any time between 12 July and 14 November 2025. Therefore, the landlord is entitled to reimbursement of the filing fee.
