Order
- An application for suppression has been made in this case, and the Tribunal orders suppression of the Tenant and Landlord name and identifying details.
- The applications of the landlord and of the tenant are dismissed.
Reasons
- Both parties attended the hearing that took place remotely. The parties advised that the tenancy here arose out of an employment contract and all matters arising out of that relationship, including the tenancy issues, have been settled independently of the Tribunal.
- The parties therefore did not want to pursue the applications they had both filed.
- The landlord and tenant’s applications are therefore dismissed.
- I award both parties name suppression as requested (see s95A(4) Residential Tenancies Act 1986) as it is in the public interest that parties can settle their disputes and either application could have been withdrawn but both parties simply wanted certainty by having the position recorded in a Tribunal order.
