Order
- All parties and their agents’ names and the address of the property is to be suppressed.
- The tenancy will end at 5pm on Friday 26 June 2026 or earlier if the tenant provides 7 days’ notice of termination.
- All communication in relation to the tenancy will be between the tenant’s agent, being her mother, [The landlord’s agent] and [The property manager/s], the property managers representative.
- The property manager shall provide a reference to the tenants.
Reasons
- Both parties attended the hearing. The tenants had a support person present.
- The case was set down for a full day. Both parties filed applications to be determined.
- At the conclusion of the evidence, the parties entered into an agreement to resolve all matters. Whilst the matter before me was not a mediation, it was appropriate under the circumstances of this case, that they had the opportunity to take time to consider a way forward and the agreement the parties entered into is an appropriate resolution of all matters.
- Given the sensitive situation it is appropriate that all parties have name suppression, including the tenants’ representative and representative of the management company.
- It outweighs the public interest in publishing the details and I therefore order suppression of all names of the parties and their agents and address of the property. This was with the consent of all parties.
