Order
- An application for suppression has been made in this case. Because this Order records an agreement reached between the parties, the Tribunal orders suppression of the tenants’ names and identifying details.
- [The tenant/s] must pay Tbt Property Management Limited $2,592.91
- The tenants must pay the debt in order 2 by the following payments: a. by payments totalling not less than $2,133.00 by Monday 25 May 2026 (of which the tenants say that $600.00 was paid yesterday) to pay the rent arrears and the weekly rent due on 25 May 2026; b. by payments of at least $60.00 per week towards the unpaid water rates and filing fees, starting on Thursday 28 May 2026 and continuing every Thursday after that until the water rates are paid.
- If the tenants fail to make any payment required by Order 3 within 2 working days of the due dates, the balance of the debt owing will be payable immediately and can be enforced through the District Court.
Reasons
- Both parties attended the hearing by video/ teleconference.
- The landlord has applied for rent and water rates arrears and has provided rent records which prove the amounts owing.
- The amounts claimed are not disputed. The parties reached agreement on the repayment arrangements.
- Because Tbt Property Management Limited has succeeded with the claim I must reimburse the filing fee.
