Reasons
- The landlord attended the hearing which was held by videoconference. The tenant didn’t attend and couldn’t be reached by phone.
- The landlord has applied for termination of the tenancy, rent arrears and refund of the bond.
- The landlord’s rent records show that at the date of the application, rent was more than 21 days in arrears. The tenant has recently being paying the weekly rent but rent remains more than 21 behind.
- The landlord is entitled to an Order terminating the tenancy. 1
- The landlord was willing to discuss putting in place a repayment arrangement rather than the tenancy being ended, but no such discussion is possible in the tenant’s absence. The landlord remains open to that possibility but is entitled to be in a position to enforce the termination Order if nothing suitable can be agreed.
