Order

Kāinga Ora–Homes And Communities agrees that the rehearing application be granted in order to reach a resolution about work to be carried out at the property. This means that the tenancy of [The tenant/s] at [Tenancy address suppressed] will continue as a periodic tenancy.
[The tenant/s] agrees to give access to the landlord’s contractors for work to be carried out that is necessary for Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities to comply with Healthy Home Standards and for other necessary repairs.
The parties agree that work will begin at 10am on Friday, 16 August 2024 and be every day, except weekends, for a period of approximately six weeks. During that time [The tenant/s] will remain at the property. He will allow all work to be carried out without objection but can record a complaint with Kāinga Ora– Homes And Communities at the end of the repair work if he believes there is something wrong with the work.
Prior to 16 August 2024 Kāinga Ora–Homes And Communities will give [The tenant/s] copy of the schedule of work to be carried out but work may vary from the schedule. Name Suppression
I have granted name suppression for the tenant under Section 95A(4) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986) which provides: “The Tribunal may, on the application of any party to proceedings or on its own initiative, having regard to the interests of the parties and to the public interest, order that all or part of the evidence given or the name or any identifying particulars of any witness or party not be published.” The parties’ agreement means it is unnecessary to publish the tenant’s name.
