Order
- [The tenant/s] owes Kāinga Ora–Homes And Communities $225.00 (“the debt”) being rent arrears to 7 October 2024.
- [The tenant/s] must pay rent and the debt as follows: a. By weekly payments of $215.00, being $205.00 for rent and $10.00 for the debt. b. Payments will be every Wednesday, with the first payment on 09/10/2024 and continuing until the debt is paid in full.
- Payments will be allocated in the following order: rent and then rent arrears.
- If the tenant fails to pay rent and rent arrears within 2 working days of the due dates the full amount will be payable immediately.
- Order 5 remains in force until the debt is paid in full.
Reasons
- Both parties attended the hearing.
- The landlord has applied for rent arrears. The tenant wants to repay the debt and a payment arrangement was agreed at the hearing.
- I have used my discretion to allow suppression for the tenant because she was helpful at the hearing, significant efforts have been made to repay the debt, and orders were made by consent. See section 95A Residential Tenancies Act 1986.
