The landlord’s representatives understand that the tenant had been charged in relation the incident.

The landlord was reluctant to terminate this tenancy. It is concerned that the tenant will have nowhere to go and is a threat to public safety if he becomes homeless. The landlord has attempted to engage with other agencies to support the tenant, but those attempts have not been successful. Weighed against that, the landlord needs to protect its other tenants. Having watched the CCTV footage, I am satisfied that the landlord had no option but to apply for termination of this tenancy. I have made an order accordingly.
