An application for suppression has been made in this case, and the Tribunal orders suppression of the tenants’ names and identifying details.
The Bond Centre is to pay the bond of $2,520.00 ([Bond number suppressed]) immediately apportioned in accordance with the table below:

Both parties attended the hearing which was held by video conference.
This tenancy began on 14 June 2025 and ended on 21 March 2026.
The tenants have applied for refund of their bond.
The landlord says that she has a claim against the bond, in relation to an insurance excess for damaged flooring, but has not filed a counterclaim with Tenancy Services.
Section 22B(2) Residential Tenancies Act 1986 (RTA) provides that where tenants apply for refund of the bond, and the landlord seeks payment from the bond, the landlord must file an application setting out the details of the counterclaim. Because the landlord has not filed a counterclaim the bond is to be refunded to the tenants.
The tenants agreed to pay the landlord $350 for repair of a shower door which broke when they were moving and so I have deducted that amount by consent.
The tenants do not agree to any deduction for the damaged flooring. I am unable to determine that claim as the landlord has not filed a counterclaim. In the meantime the balance of the bond must be refunded to the tenants.
The tenants also sought release of their pet bond of $250 paid on 23 May 2025 which was not lodged with the Bond Centre 1 . The landlord initially disputed that the tenants had paid a pet bond, but during the hearing, after reviewing email correspondence, screenshots of payments and checking her own bank statements, the landlord agreed that a pet bond had been paid.
I have therefore included the pet bond in this order, which is to be retained to cover most of the cost of the shower door (as agreed).
Because [The applicant/s] have substantially succeeded with the claim I have reimbursed the filing fee and have made an order suppressing their names and identifying details (see section 95A RTA).
