The Bond Centre is to pay the bond of $104.00 ([Bond number suppressed]) to [The landlord/s] immediately.
[The tenant/s] must pay [The landlord/s] $830.88 immediately, calculated as shown in the table below:

[The landlord’s representative/s] represented the landlord at today’s hearing.
[The tenant/s] is incarcerated on remand and did not attend the hearing. There were no contact details provided to phone him where he is being held at [redacted] Prison.
The landlord has applied for termination of the tenancy, rent arrears, filing fee reimbursement, and refund of the bond.
Rent was at least 21 days in arrears on the date the application was filed. So the tenancy must be terminated. See section 55(1)(a) Residential Tenancies Act 1986 (RTA). Consideration was given to [The tenant/s]’s written request to keep the tenancy going. However the landlord is a social housing provider so is unable to leave the property vacant with no certainty of [The tenant/s]’s return and non payment of rent. There is a pressing need for the housing.
