It would be inequitable to refuse to terminate the tenancy because there is a high demand for public housing support, and it is important those granted tenancies by the applicant occupy their rental homes. It is also a condition of the tenancy agreement they sign.

The possession order provides one further week for the tenant to contact the applicant. It maybe that she remains eligible to live at the property as a sole tenant, but this cannot be guaranteed. If she does not contact the applicant, then the tenancy will end in one weeks’ time.

The applicant requested name suppression for the tenants, which is approved.
