Should the Tribunal proceed without the tenants?

Only the landlord attended the hearing, which was held via video link.
Both Brar Consolidation Ltd and [The tenant/s] are named tenants in the tenancy agreement. The landlord advised that Mr Singh and two others currently reside at the property and rent payments have been made through Brar Consolidation Ltd. Mr Singh is the sole director of the company, which lists the tenancy address as its registered office.
The landlord had previously communicated with the tenants via phone and email, but contact ceased when rent arrears were raised.
The Tribunal attempted to call Mr Singh twice with no response. The landlord also attempted contact without success.
The Tribunal’s Registry served the notice of hearing to Mr Singh via email. While Brar Consolidation Ltd was not served through its registered address, Mr Singh – as sole director – was properly served, and knowledge of the proceedings is imputed to the company.
As the tenants were properly notified and failed to attend or request an adjournment, the Tribunal proceeded in their absence under section 92(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986.
The landlord applied for termination of the tenancy, recovery of rent arrears, and release of the bond.
