Kāinga Ora’s application sought cleaning, rubbish removal, and repair costs.
The hearing took place in Kaitaia on 14 July 2026. Mr Temu (representing Kāinga Ora) attended the hearing by phone with the consent of the Tribunal. There was no appearance by the tenant. Notice of the claim and hearing were served on the tenant in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986. The hearing proceeded in the tenant’s absence.
Tenants must remove all rubbish and leave the premises reasonably clean and tidy at the end of the tenancy.
